Iowa Youth Survey

Students in the 6th, 8th, and 11th grades across the state of Iowa periodically partake in this survey by answering questions about their attitudes and experiences regarding alcohol and other drug use and violence, as well as their perceptions of peers, family, school, and neighborhood/community environment.

Iowa Youth Risk Behavior Survey

The Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System is an epidemiologic system established by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help monitor the prevalence of behaviors that put youth at risk for the most serious health and social problems that can occur during adolescence and adulthood. Specifically, this survey focuses on students who are attending public schools (regular and alternative, Grades 9-12).

National Adolescent and Young Adult Health Information Center  

A resource to access national adolescent and young adult health statistics and information.

National Survey of Children’s Health

The National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH) touches on multiple, intersecting aspects of children’s lives. The survey includes physical and mental health status, access to quality health care, as well as information on the child’s family, neighborhood and social context.
