Steering Committee

In September 2009, an HAI advisory committee was formed to develop a state-wide plan to perform surveillance on HAIs and to determine best practices to reduce and prevent HAIs in Iowa. The advisory committee has since remained active, and meets every six months to assess progress. The Steering Committee consists of representatives from public health, quality improvement organizations, and healthcare facilities.
